RIME Group is seeking 1 or more Post-doctoral Associate(s)/Fellow(s) to work on faculty-lead research projects to synthesize the research projects conducted to date and work toward extending these results to practical testing and analysis procedures that bridge owners and managers can adopt as part of their more significant preservation strategies. The candidates will be working on the funded research projects to collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies, universities, and private sectors.
The ideal candidates will possess a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering or a similar field with a background preferably in one or more research areas, such as but not limited to
- Developing and simulation the FE analysis using commercial software packages (ABAQUS and/or LS-DYNA),
- Designing and implementing SHM and novel sensor technologies, and
- Developing and testing advanced cementitious materials.
- Other experiences, (1) field instrumentation and testing of bridges, (2) laboratory testing of concrete materials and structural members, and/or (3) fatigue analysis of steel structure, reliability-based analysis, or probabilistic simulations, would be expected.
